Kibo is developing two thermal power projects, the Mabesekwa Coal Independent Power Project in Botswana and the Benga Independent Power Project in Mozambique, as well as developing the market for the advanced Mbeya Coal to Power Project in Tanzania. Additionally, Kibo holds a 60% interest in MAST Energy Developments Limited, a private UK registered company targeting the development and operation of flexible power plants to service the Reserve Power generation market. Kibo benefits from its international partnership network which includes SEPCO-III, General Electric, Tractebel Engineering, Minxcon Consulting, ABSA Group, and Hogan Lovells.
