BACOLOD CITY – A motorcycle rider died after he rammed into a tricycle in Barangay Mandalagan here on Sunday, Sept. 4.

The victim was identified as Lemwel Lumawag, 25, of Barangay Mandalagan.
Police Capt. Armilyn Vargas, head of Police Station 3, said Lumawag was allegedly speeding while tailing a tricycle driven by Mark Anthony Desucatan, 32, of Barangay 18 here.
Lumawag was also reportedly under the influence of liquor when the accident happened, according to Vargas.
Vargas said that Lumawag later died in a hospital due to head injuries.
Both parties had an initial settlement. Thus, Desucatan will be released from police custody after the lapse of the reglementary detention, Vargas said.
