“Stock Market Learning sparked my enthusiasm for the financial markets at a young age. I’ve been trading securities ever since. And I’m happy when the spark of enthusiasm spreads to others.”.
Managing Director of Baden-Württembergische Wertpapierbörse
Oliver Hans (born 1965) has been Managing Director of Baden-Württembergische Wertpapierbörse GmbH since June 2005. In 1984, he was one of the first participants in Stock Market Learning. After studying economics and working in management consulting, he began his career on the stock exchange in 1995 as deputy head of department in the Market Supervision division of the Hessian stock exchange supervisory authority.
„Stock Market Learning gives young people the exciting opportunity to learn how to deal with the financial markets. This makes a relevant contribution to the investment culture in Germany. After all, important foundations in financial knowledge can already be laid during school years. This is the only way to break down reservations about the complex issues of the financial world at an early stage – and for the young people it provides food for thought to enable them to make sound investment decisions for themselves later on.“
Portfolio Manager Deka Investment GmbH, Frankfurt a. M.
The trained investment fund trader (born 1988) studied part-time at the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management. After holding positions at CASS London Business School and Credit Suisse in London, he has been responsible for Global Equities as a portfolio manager and for the DekaLux-USA TF fund as a co-fund manager since the beginning of 2014.
“Stock Market Learning gave me my first contact with the stock market. I was immediately fascinated by the subject, so I wanted to follow this path professionally as well. An apprenticeship at DekaBank ultimately led me to fund management. Here, you get to see economic events up close every day – exciting and fascinating every day!”
Managing Director Maleki Communications Group GmbH
“I first came into contact with Stock Market Learning at school. Together with two classmates whose first names also began with “A”, we therefore called ourselves “AAA” (Triple A) full-bodied after the best rating. We also announced to our teacher that we were going to win. He only said laconically, in stock market experience all the time. My teacher was to be proved right. In the end, we even finished in the red.”
But the interest in business topics and the passion for the stock market have remained. I would be delighted if many students and trainees took the opportunity to gain their first stock market experience with Stock Market Learning!”
